  Guitar Lessons

Private lessons are by far the best way to improve your playing and get you to where you want to be. I can help you establish good habits right from the start but unlike many guitar teachers I make no assumtion that your technique is poor or force you to play in a way that is uncomfortable for you. All lessons are tailored to your individual needs and we will work at a pace that suits you. Each student will be provided with a study pack (Optional)

I am more than happy to accept students wanting to take guitar grades or study formally at college or university. I will work with you through your exam requirements and make sure you achieve the required level. I'd highly recommend formal study for any student but if your interest is more casual that's not a problem

  Studio Lessons

Learning how to record, mix and master is an essential skill no modern musician should be without. You can save literally thousands of pounds by producing your own recordings and in a heavily competetive industry, a well produced CD will give you the edge over other Artists/Bands and will certainly help gain the attention you need from record labels and prospective employers

 

 

 

 

My Studio lessons show you how to record in an easy to understand and logical way. The lessons are not just for guitarists either, I welcome anyone who is interested in production including Singers, drummers and classical players. For those who are completely new to the studio, it can seem very overwhelming but once your familiar with the equipment anyone can learn to record. If you already have some experience or want to explore a specific area in greater detail, (e.g mastering or use of virtual instruments) lessons can be tailored accordingly

Subjects include: Studio Equipment (hardware), it's function and usage. Software including DAW (digital audio workstation) Plugins and Virtual instruments. The Recording Process (signal flow effects, processing and editing) Mixing (understanding instrument placement and using EQ effectively) Mastering (utilising limiters and compression)

  Band Coaching

Have you ever wondered how Artists/Bands have achieved recognition and become sucessful? Most of them have realised the hard way by making mistakes and learning through years of stage experience
